The Lych Gate was dedicated by the Bishop of Grantham at 4pm on Sunday 1st of October, before the Annual Harvest festival Service.

The original estimate of the cost of the project, produced by our retained architect Peter McFarlane of Bond and Read, Grantham, amounted to £16,500 - the council is hopeful that it cab be done for £14,000. Donations and fundraising to date have produced £9,345, including significant contributions from the Ewerby C.of E. Primary School Trust and the Crown Commissioners.

The oak for the Lych Gate was donated by Mr. Davie-Thornhill and felled from Haverholme Wood. The Aswarby Estate Sawmill was responsible for the original sawing and the very skilled carpentry and construction work was carried out by Mayfield Builders of Boston.
